What is a Resonator Role in Wuthering Waves 2026? Full Guide

Wuthering Waves sorts characters (called Resonators) by Attribute (damage type) and role (job) instead of a rigid class system. The six Attributes are Fusion, Glacio, Aero, Electro, Spectro, and Havoc — each applies a unique Negative Status when you break an enemy. Roles are Main DPS, Sub-DPS, Support, and Healer, and most teams run one carry, one support, and one healer.

The Four Roles

Main DPS = the on-field damage dealer (Jinhsi, Carlotta, Camellya, Jiyan). Sub-DPS / Support = buffs, shields, and quick-swap damage (Sanhua, Yangyang, Yuanwu, Zhezhi). Healer = keeps the team alive and often buffs the team (Shorekeeper, Verina, Baizhi). A standard team is Main DPS + Support + Healer, with the Support feeding Concerto to the carry.

Attribute vs Role

Attribute (Fusion, Glacio, Aero, Electro, Spectro, Havoc) decides which enemies you break and which Negative Status you apply. Role decides the unit's job. Jinhsi is Spectro + Main DPS — a Spectro damage dealer who uses Spectro Frazzle.

Building a Team in 2026

A standard team is Carry (Main DPS) + Support (Concerto buffer) + Healer. Shorekeeper / Verina (healers) + Sanhua (fast-Concerto support) are the classic enabling core for almost any carry. Build Concerto on the support, Outro to buff the carry, then let the carry deal damage.
